Homeless in Sarasota Bradenton

The Sarasota/Manatee unit of the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (www.naswfl.org) recently honored three local individuals for outstanding contributions in their field. Manatee County school system social worker Richard White was honored as Social Worker of the Year; recent University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee graduate Kerry Gantner as Florida Student Social Worker of the Year; and former Sarasota Mayor Richard Martin as Public Citizen of the Year for his work with the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness.
